How does scoring work?

Score is bid times 0.9 to the power of completed 24-hour periods since last-touch, capped at 7 days. Claiming a rank costs the current score plus $1.

What counts as touching grass?

A JPEG photo with visible outdoor grass, original (not a screenshot or stock image), and a DateTimeOriginal no older than 5 days. GPS is optional. A vision model checks it.

How do I revive a dead listing?

Only the founder can revive it. Post a grass photo that verifies, or pay $5 to skip. The bid is written down to the frozen day-7 score, then the clock resets.

The rules are simple. Nature is not optional.

Pay to rank. Go outside to keep it. Everything else is commentary.

Listings

One listing is one URL, a name, a description (up to 280 characters, two lines on the board), a category, and a founder (the X account that created it). New listings copy title and description from the site’s meta tags; the owner can edit both on the product page. Categories: Developer Tools, AI, Marketing, SaaS, Games, Health & Fitness, Design, Leaderboards, People, Other.

Money

You must be signed in with X to bid. Bids are whole dollars, $1 minimum. A new URL pays the full bid. Raising your own listing — same URL, or your raise button — only charges the difference.
Score is computed when we render the board, never stored: bid × 0.9 ^ (completed 24-hour periods since last-touch), capped at 7. Claiming a rank costs the current score + $1.
Rank is score descending. Ties go to whoever has the earlier last-touch — the early bird, then the lawn.
Skip leg day is $5 flat, owner only. It sets last-touch to now and stamps a permanent “skipped ×N” badge. It does not add to your bid. You paid to stay inside. We will mention it.

After you pay

Your listing is public immediately. Clicks are counted, not guaranteed.
A completed payment is what claims the rank. Payments are not refundable.

Sweat

Last-touch starts at listing time, so you get 24 hours of grace before the first 10% drop. After that, only the founder can reset the clock.
A verified grass photo sets last-touch to now. Pending photos do not. Rejected photos do not.
The photo must show visible ground vegetation, be outdoors, be an original photo, and not be NSFW. You do not have to be in it. Your lawn does. JPEG, 2MB or less. EXIF must include a DateTimeOriginal no older than 5 days. GPS is optional — pick from your camera roll or take a new shot. If GPS is there we reverse-geocode the city and country and show those on the gallery, never the raw coordinates.
Screenshots, photos of screens, stock photos, and rendered images fail. The model is a snitch on purpose. Confidence has to be at least 0.6.
Rot uses a rolling 24-hour clock from last-touch, not midnight. A $100 bid is $90 after one full day indoors, $81 after two, and so on.
Uploads are a different clock: one pending or verified photo, or one skip, per listing per UTC calendar day. You can post again at 12:00 AM UTC. A rejected photo does not spend the day — try again. Deleting your own photo also frees the day, but you lose that grass touch.

When you die

You die the moment seven full 24-hour periods have passed since last-touch with no verified photo and no skip. If you listed Tuesday 16:00 UTC and never touched grass, you die the next Tuesday at 16:00 UTC.
Dead listings stay on the board: grey, skull, “no grass since …”, still ranked. The score freezes at the day-7 rot (a $100 bid sits at about $48) and does not keep dropping.
Anyone can still claim a dead spot for that frozen score + $1. Paying more does not bring it back. Bidding never sets last-touch.

How to revive

Only the founder can revive a listing.
Post a grass photo that verifies, or pay $5 to skip leg day. Either one sets last-touch to now and writes the bid down to the frozen score. A $100 listing that died at about $48 comes back at $48, not $100. New rot starts from there. A fresh GPX on that photo can still add ×1.05 for a day.
A pending photo does not revive you until it verifies. A rejected photo leaves you dead; you can retry the same UTC day.
The daily UTC limit still applies. If you already posted a pending/verified photo or skipped today, you wait until 12:00 AM UTC.

Proofs, flags, GPX

Verified proofs are public on the listing and on /feed. Pending and rejected photos are owner-only. Logged-in users can flag a verified proof with a reason.
Three flags from distinct people hide the proof and rewind last-touch to the previous surviving verified photo (or created-at if that was the only one). That rewind can rot you — or kill you — immediately. GPX bonus is recomputed from whatever proof survives.
Optional GPX: we parse distance and the newest timestamp, show a “+12.3 km” badge, and add ×1.05 for 24 hours. Tracks older than 48 hours are ignored. GPX alone is never a touch. One bonus at a time — it does not stack.
If a photo has GPS in EXIF we store it. We never render the coordinates. The gallery shows city, country, and the day the photo was taken when we have them.
The founder who posted a photo can delete it. Deleting removes the photo and rewinds last-touch to the previous surviving verified proof (or created-at). That day's grass touch is gone, so you can try again the same UTC day unless you already skipped.

The header, honestly

Alive / rotted is living listings versus dead ones. Raised is the sum of bids. Online is who datafa.st has seen in the last 10 minutes. Visitors is everyone it has ever counted. Both refresh about every 30 seconds. Money gets you in. Sweat keeps you there.
